Lister's Updates

The listers, in coordination with the appraisers from NEMRC, conducted a reappraisal of all properties in Maidstone for the tax year 2019. Property owners were notified of their new property valuations in late April, 2019. As an aid to property owners, the appraisers held informal hearings on May 5 and 6 at Town Hall.  Formal grievance hearings were held on May 13 and 14 at Town Hall.

As an aid to property owners, the appraisers will hold informal hearings on May 5 and 6 at Town Hall, 9 am to noon, then 1 pm to 5 pm, to explain any issues that property owners may have.  Appointments are encouraged, but you may also walk in to meet with the appraisers.

Formal grievance hearings are set for May 13 and 14 at Town Hall, 9 am to noon, then 1 pm to 5 pm.  You must make an appointment by calling the Town Hall at 802-676-3210.  Be prepared to present relevant evidence regarding the appeal.  All appeals must be in writing.  Letters must be received, and appointments made on, or before, May 10, 2019.
