CTO: 7:00 P.M.
ATTENDANCE: Bradley McVetty, Kyle Bouthillier, Douglas Lord, Bonnie Lovell, Guilbert Desrochers, Nancy Desrochers, Robert Lancraft and David Lufkin.
APPROVE MINUTES: Kyle moved to accept the April 4th minutes as printed. Douglas seconded the motion and the motion carried.
TOWN PLAN AND ZONING BYLAW: At the printers being printed. Kyle questioned if there was another copy to approve for printing after changes were made?
NEKWMD: Brad proposed we look into bulky days next year, maybe late May, early June and late August, early September. Waiting on quotes on containers for bulky waste day from several contractors.
SCHOOL BOARD BUS DISCUSSION: Act 46 was discussed with multiple options which included paying families an annual amount to provide own transportation, the School Board buying a new bus or the town would buy the School Board bus and provide municipal transportation. The Town has to vote on Act 46 by 2018.
RANDALL NORTHROP/CORRETTE ASSOCIATES AUDITORS: Nancy Desrochers questioned if Randall will do an actual Treasurer’s Report for 2014. Bonnie will inquire. The Treasurer will provide 2015 reports to Randall and audit to start by June 2016 for year 2015.
BETTER ROADS GRANT: Completed and submitted but haven’t received approval from Shawna yet.
TOWN HIGHWAY STRUCTURES GRANT: The Town applied for $175,000 grant to replace a 3 X 5 culvert and may put a concrete box culvert on the North Road. Should have a decision by June. There was a lot of discussion about the Town building it vs. getting a grant. NOTE: At this time there was also discussion regarding Westside Lake Road conditions.
FIRES: 2 grass fires on North Road. One on Styles and the other one located just after a green camp pass Freedom Way according to Bill Sanborn, Fire Warden. No major damage. Warden will need copies of invoices we receive from the Fire Department for reimbursement purposes.
SIGN SELECTMEN’S WARRANTS: Reviewed and signed.
OTHER BUSINESS: The Selectboard reviewed letter from the Maidstone Lake Association inviting them to the annual meeting.
