Minutes of 10-6-14 Meeting

CTO: 7:05 P.M.
ATTENDANCE: Bradley McVetty, Douglas Lord, Carroll (Sam) Gorham, Linda Sanborn, Shawn Conant, and Susan Irwin.
APPROVE MINUTES: Shawn moved to change paragraph #7 of the September 19, 2014 Selectboard Meeting to include “there was no action taken.”  Douglas seconded the motion and the motion carried. Shawn moved to accept the minutes as amended, Douglas seconded the motion and the motion carried.
AUDITORS MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 25TH RESULTS: After some discussion, Douglas volunteered to set up a date for Linda and Donna to meet when Linda provides a date that she is available.
GOLF CART ORDINANCE: The Secretary was instructed to call VLCT to see what the liability for the town would entail, specifically for low speed vehicles, if the ordinance was passed.
SHORELINE PROTECTION ACT: The new application was made available for review.  No action was required.
TOWN PLAN/ZONING BYLAW: The next meeting is on Tuesday, October 14th at 6:30 p.m.
TOWN ROADS & FEMA: Bradley was at the Lake today laying loads of gravel in preparation for grading.  We are waiting for final approval and the subsequent assignment of our CAGE # to complete the application for our FEMA payment for storm damage incurred during the April storm.
OLD EQUIPMENT: The hard drives will be removed from the computers then the equipment will be delivered to Hodgdon’s.
CANDIDATE FORUM: The information for holding a forum was given to the Board members but no action was taken.
WEBSITE: The latest information requiring the posting of meetings for all organizations was related to the Board.
NEKWMD: The secretary was asked to contact the district about the process for setting up a plan and asked to check the ending date of Vaughn Hodgdon’s contract.
UNLICENSED DOG LIST: There are 5 residents who have not yet registered their dogs with the town.
SELECTMEN’S WARRANTS: These were reviewed and signed.
OTHER BUSINESS:  1. The town has complied with the requests submitted by the VLCT Safety Inspection team in order to meet necessary safety requirements. 2. Fall Selectmen’s Institute was announced. 3. The Secretary was instructed to order Microsoft Office from Staples and to purchase the Norton antivirus.
