Draft SELECTBOARD MEETING
November 3, 2014
CTO: 7:00 P.M.
ATTENDANCE: Bradley McVetty, Douglas Lord, Shawn Conant, Linda Sanborn, David and Elaine Hodge, Carroll Gorham, Robert Lancraft, Nancy Desrochers, Paul Tomasi, and Susan Irwin.
APPROVE MINUTES: Shawn Conant moved to Accept the minutes as presented. Douglas Lord seconded the motion and the motion carried.
NEKWMD: Paul Tomasi, NEKWMD Director explained the difference between the Hybrid system of Waste Disposal and the Pay Per Bag method. He is going to use our budget for waste and write up two proposals for consideration. Hodgdon’s waste disposal contract with the town was signed in April 2013. It is a 3-year contract.
LISTERS: Most of the town sales have been below the town assessed value. Head Lister, Elaine Hodge explained the advantage of conducting a Statistical Reappraisal now instead of waiting to be ordered to conduct a full reappraisal.
GOLF CART ORDINANCE: Tabled until more information is obtained
DEBBIE’S DATA SERVICES: Her proposal was reviewed. No action was taken.
BEAR HILL ROAD: Shawn moved to allow Road Commissioner, Bradley McVetty to sell Raymond Lovell some of the Town culverts. Douglas seconded the motion and the motion carried. Sam Gorham shared words of praise for the condition of the Maidstone Lake road.
CONNECTICUT VALLEY SNO-RIDERS: A letter from CVSR informed the Board that they are not meeting at the Maidstone Town Hall but will be meeting at the Guildhall.
TOWN PLAN/ZONING BYLAW: Shawn moved to approve the amendment presented by the Planning Board to the proposed Plan/Bylaw. Douglas seconded the motion and the motion carried.
UNLICENSED DOG LIST: This was tabled.
SELECTMEN’S WARRANT: This was reviewed and signed.
OTHER BUSINESS: Shawn moved to apply for the matching grant opportunity for GIS capability for the town offered by the State. Douglas seconded and the motion carried.
