Maidstone Town Hall & Offices
The Maidstone Town Hall is the only municipal building in Maidstone. It was built shortly after the land was donated to the township in 1952, & expanded/renovated twice since 1991. It contains the vault of all official & historical town documents, the hall where all town meetings & voting takes place, & all of the town offices, including that of the Town Clerk.

TOWN CLERK SERVICES:
The first land record was recorded in 1788. The first Vital Record was recorded in 1768. Building permits issued are available back to 1976 & Grand Lists are available back to 1842. Certified copies are available for $10 a copy & informational copies are available for $2.00 each.
For researching purposes, book indexes are available for records up to Aug. of 1996, at which time card indexes begin.
Certified copies of birth, death & marriage records that took place within the town are available upon request.
Minutes of Meetings
Selectboard, Board of Civil Authority & Board of Abatement meeting minutes are available upon request for $ .10 a page.
May be obtained at the Town Clerk's Office or can be mailed upon request. The fee is $80.00 & to appeal a decision the fee is $102.00. You will receive a cover letter with more information with your application.
RENEWALS for vehicle, snowmobile, & boat
Vermont Registration, Tax & Title Applications are available & may be done at the town office. We do not do new registrations.
Dogs owned by residents must be licensed every year between Jan. 1st & Apr. 1st. Unless other arrangements are made, there will be a penalty for late registration. Dog License Fee Schedule is in Documents.
Green Mountain Passports
These are available for purchase at the town office & offer free admission to senior citizens & disabled veterans to state-sponsored public events, exhibits, concerts, museums & state parks, historical sites & lands. Overnight camping & other park fees are excluded. The cost is $2.00 per passport.
