The Town of Maidstone has instituted tax billing twice a year, starting with the tax year 2019. Tax Bills are sent out between the end of August and the beginning of September. For 2023 tax bills, the initial tax bill will be due October 16, 2023. Initial tax payments received after October 16 will be considered late and will be immediately subject to a 1% interest charge per month for the first three months, 1 ½% interest charge per month after that. The second tax payment will be due on April 15, 2024. Tax payments received after April 15, 2024 will be considered delinquent and will be immediately subject to a delinquent tax fee of 8% on the tax bill as well as an immediate 1% interest charge per month for the first three month, 1 ½% interest charge per month after that.
